Preparation of the documents for the accreditation of the  college in Ravne

Slovenia is halfway between a moderately and highly developed country. One of the key factors in the process of development and becoming highly developed is also highly qualified and educated staff who will be able to create, share and use their knowledge effectively. In Slovenia it is hard, with the existing labour prices, with lowering costs and new investments to become more competitive. Our only chance is that we penetrate the markets with the new innovative products that are supported with top knowledge of highly qualified employees. It is therefore very clear that without such personnel, especially in perspective economic branches, Slovene companies will not be able to efficiently update their products, raise added value and be competitive to companies at home and abroad. The logical result is that such personnel are essential.

Based on these findings we, together with the Municipality Ravne, prepared application for accreditation of university technical programme (mechanical engineering).

The Council of the National agency for quality in university colleges in December 2010 accepted an affirmative conclusion for establishing such an educational institution in Ravne.

The public InstitutionCollege and University Centre for Koroška has cooperated with this project of establishing a new technical college, based in Ravne.
